Junior Achievement of Central Ontario (JACO) helps inspire and prepare youth to succeed by providing opportunities to learn financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness skills. They do so by using engaging programs and relying on the help of dedicated volunteers within the Toronto, York, Peel, Halton, Durham and Simcoe regions.
JACO needed to create an identity for their new luncheon awards program which recognized and honoured trail blazers in the field of business. They didn’t have a name in mind yet, so we had creative reign to come up with a fresh name and look for their new initiative.

The name “Bold Thinkers. Inspiring Leaders.” was created to quickly communicate that this event was a celebration of business innovators. The logo concept uses triangles to communicate the idea of growth, innovation and success. The corporate green colour was coupled with teal and yellow for a fresh, contemporary look.
The triangular shape became a key branding element, which was repeated throughout the design of the awards, taking the form of a framed, artwork-like poster. A customized design was created for each recipient, the subject of which tied directly into their accomplishments in the business field. The recipient’s name and a short bio of their success to date was also included.
The luncheon brand was further expanded into the organization’s annual report, where the luncheon was featured in detail, highlighting the recipients and the event’s photos.
